Barely Bewitched

I’m such a big fan of the Southern Witch series and the second installment doesn't disappoint, ya’ll.

Everybody’s favorite baker turned would-be witch, Tammy Jo Trask is still trying to get a grip on her magic in the little town of Duvall, Texas and trying to figure out her feelings for her hunky ex-husband, Zack and the sexy, mysterious Bryn Lyons. After a wave of fairy dust is dispersed over the entire town and everyone goes ape-shit, it’s up to Tammy and the same crazy cast of characters from the first book to rush in to save the town from evil warlocks and other assorted supernatural beasties.

This is a very funny, tongue-in-cheek “lite” series along the lines of Linda Wisdom’s Jazz Tremaine series and it’ll also reminds you of Michelle Bardsley’s Broken Heart, Oklahoma series. If you’re only into the darker more serious paranormal authors like Laurell K. Hamilton, Yasmine Galenorn, J.R. Ward or Karen Chance, you might not be able to get into this series.

Do yourself a favor and pick up the first book and just start reading, I swear you’ll fall in love with Tammy Jo and her adorable cat, Mercutio.
